Now, a year later, Broom N Moppin’ has taken on a new direction, and instead of house cleaning, Elizabeth has refocused the company on the clean-up of construction sites. As a Mexican American woman, she noticed the underrepresentation of minority women on job sites, and knew her company could carve out a space for these women in the construction industry. With a 52-unit cleanup site just a few blocks from the Garage, Elizabeth can change from her heels to boots and put on a hard hat to take a hands-on approach with her employees and clients. It is apparent to everyone who meets Elizabeth that this work suits her perfectly. She can exercise her 14-year background in sales with her clients, all while providing her employees access to greater financial opportunity in a historically male-dominated field.
With her business growing everyday, Elizabeth is grateful for her decision to leave the comfort of her former job for the fulfillment of following her passions and paving her own way. We are so proud to have such hardworking, dedicated and innovative women in the Garage everyday, and Elizabeth adds an incredible positive energy to our community. Join us in welcoming Elizabeth to our Garage family!
